That is why the condoms are only available in exclusive capsule cases, in which each condom is protected by the “OK” quality seal. With the “OK” quality seal, ceylor meets the world’s strictest quality requirements, which far exceed the usual legal standards.
Material and production
Most ceylor condoms are made from natural latex, a material that is colloquially referred to as rubber. Natural latex is obtained from the milky sap of the rubber tree. After this raw material goes through a technically complex process, it is used to produce the best condoms. Although they are made from different layers of latex, the material is only 0.05 and 0.07 mm thick, which gives you a completely natural feeling even with a condom.
Ceylor Non-Latex Ultra Thin is probably the thinnest condom in the world. It is highly transparent, completely odorless and tasteless, making it a completely neutral condom. It is made of polyurethane using innovative methods, thanks to which it is only 0.02 mm thick, which is half the thickness of classic ceylor condoms. Even the most sensitive lovers will be delighted with the perfect intimate feeling they will experience with it. In addition, latex allergies are also taken care of.
Latex condoms are made from natural latex. This raw material is obtained directly from the rubber tree, from whose bark the necessary sap drips into containers that are placed directly on the trunk of the plant. After harvesting, the natural latex is stored in large tanks and travels all over the world. Upon arrival at the production facilities, the raw material is tested and inspected several times, because only the highest quality latex is suitable for further processing into condoms.
Next, chemicals are added for further processing and the mixture begins to heat up. The resulting chemical reaction transforms the rubber into a stable, durable and elastic state. The latex is then poured into huge storage tanks, where glass plungers are immersed, to which the latex adheres in a thin layer. After drying, the whole process is repeated. The plungers are constantly rotated throughout the process to distribute the latex evenly. The condoms are then heated in an oven to vulcanize the rubber. This is the final stage of the chemical reaction, which ensures that the latex becomes sufficiently stable, flexible and tear-resistant.
The condoms are then washed, electronically tested, lubricated or flavoured depending on the type of packaging. To ensure maximum safety, condoms are tested before they are released to the market.
“OK” quality seal
Play safe with the quality seal!
What does the “OK” seal mean?
It gives you confidence and guarantees that you are using a safe and tested condom because:
- All ceylor condoms must meet not only the requirements of the European condom standard (EN ISO 4074), but also the stricter global quality requirements in accordance with the “OK” quality seal, which goes beyond the usual legal standards
- Each production unit is tested in independent laboratories before being released for sale. This is the only way to ensure that the management is truly independent, even before the condoms reach the market.
- A three-tier control system guarantees not only safety but also quality. Compliance is monitored through regular random sampling at points of sale.
Using quality condoms is important not only to protect against unwanted pregnancy, but also to protect against the transmission of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Condoms will also provide you with reliable protection against the transmission of other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs/STIs). They create a rubber barrier and prevent pathogens from passing between one person and another, of course, provided that the condoms are of really good quality. This quality is ensured by the “OK” quality seal.
Standards and quality tests
All ceylor condoms meet the European standard for condoms (EN ISO 4074). This sets the minimum size of condoms and regulates the quality tests that condoms must undergo. The CE test mark on each package guarantees that the required quality criteria are met. Ceylor condoms are regularly and strictly inspected to ensure truly impeccable quality. Various material properties are tested in a control laboratory.
Volume test
In the testing facilities, the condom is filled with air until it bursts. Each tested Ceylor condom must have a minimum capacity of 28 liters of air, which is a really significant volume, imagine 28 liter bottles. The volume of 28 liters is in accordance with the requirements for the “OK” quality seal.
Perforation Test
Each individual condom is electronically tested for damage and tiny holes. The condom is filled with water, connected to an electrode and immersed in a saline solution. If the material shows even the smallest hole, an electric current is passed into the solution. If the measurement shows no current flow, the condom is 100% sealed.
Elasticity test
A piece of material from which a condom is made is stretched in a special testing device. It should not tear until it has expanded by 700%. For example, a ten-centimeter piece of rubber will stretch to at least 70 cm.
